Running inside Gentoo Linux with the latest wine-staging, game plays almost perfectly but is occasionally subject to a crash but my biggest problem right now is that the chat window font size is 12 point no matter where I set it and on my laptops 4k monitor it literally reads like ... . . .. . .. to my eyes. i have never seen this behavior before in wow-mania and its driving me *$t6&Y^! crazy
does anyone know how to fix this?

Use an addon or something to make the chat box bigger or font larger. You can also unlock window and that will let you drag it upward, and then from there you can mouse down to the bottom right and pull the chat window down and outward to make it larger.

I understand how frustrating it can be to run into this kind of issue, especially on a 4K monitor, where the font size is so small that it’s almost unreadable. Try going into Wine’s settings, double-checking your DPI and font scaling options, or try changing the game’s settings to see if that affects the font size. If that doesn’t work, you can try using a tool like winecfg to adjust your graphics and UI settings.
